Spring Karate Gashuku

Samurai Karate Hout Bay Dojo is having its annual Spring gashuku at the Soetwater Environmental Centre, Noordhoek from 10th to 12th November 2017.

The gashuku is an opportunity that is not to be missed.  The students will spend the whole weekend enjoying intensive karate training as well as great team building and friendships  between fellow students.  The head instructors on the gashuku will be Sensei John Shaw, 5th Dan and head instructor of the Hout Bay Dojo, and Sensei Dylan Hammagren, 5th Dan and head instructor of the Lakeside Dojo.

The gashuku will be geared for all students to enjoy the event as well as learning new karate techniques.  Training sessions will vary between kumite drill to improve your fighting, improving and strengthening your kata, take-downs, sweeps, grappling techniques and self defence.  Time will also be spent on focusing techniques, mental control, controlling nerves and fear and developing attitude.

All our meals are taken care of by a team of caterers and provision will be made for Halaal and vegetarian students.

For more information about the gashuku, a program of events for the weekend and what to bring, please speak to Sensei John Shaw at the Samurai Karate Hout Bay Dojo or contact him on:
